U.S. Rep. Candice Miller accused the White House of “total stonewalling� on Thursday as lawmakers try to determine how a Virginia couple breached security at last week’s state dinner hosted by President Obama.
Miller’s comments came after a hearing of the House Homeland Security Committee revealed that the couple refuses to appear before Congress and the Secret Service has placed three agents on paid administrative leave due to the Nov. 24 incident.
“There’s shared responsibility for what happened but it sounds like the White House is throwing the Secret Service under the bus,� said Miller, a Harrison Township Republican who serves on the committee..........

Miller said she believes Rogers violated procedures by attending the party like a guest rather than manning a check point to help the Secret Service determine who was invited and who was not.
The congresswoman also raises the issue of whether the Salahis had access to confidential information. E-mail messages that came to light Thursday show that Tareq Salahi tried to secure two seats at the party for the Indian prime minister by securing information on three couples who had decided not to attend. One couple was Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and his wife.
In an e-mail to an Obama administration official working at the Pentagon, Salahi said that he “knows for a fact� that Reid and his wife would not attend and he wondered why the Salahis could not occupy those two seats at the dinner.
“How is it that he knows about the plans of the Senate majority leader?� Miller said. “Who is his inside source for this information? That is really troubling.�
Miller questioned Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan about the e-mails at Thursday’s hearing and Sullivan said his agency was definitely not the source........

Where were you the last 8 years then when shit was really bad? Obama wasn't my candidate, but I am so tired of this bullshit I really am. You say our rights are eroding, but you look past both versions of the PATRIOT ACT, the first of which was a 1000 page document somehow written overnight and passed in days, yet when the 1000 page healthcare bill is written over the course of months, you and your ilk stand up and make as much noise as possible because it might hurt your wallet for the the poor family in your town to see a god damn doctor. It's horseshit, I hope to god you don't get sick to the point where your HMO can't jack up your premiums to the point you can't pay them so they can just drop you altogether. It would be horrible for anyone, including you to have to experience the loss of financial security because you got sick.
