Gov. Cuomo Threatens Litigation if Biden Fails to Deliver $15B in New York Aid

Poor guy has not even pulled back the bedsheets in the whitehouse and they are already trying to strong-arm him for free money.

“If Washington doesn’t provide New York state with our $15 billion fair share, we will pursue litigation,” Cuomo said during his annual budget address in Albany on Tuesday. “The legal crisis is legally and ethically Washington’s liability. President Trump is gone. But the damage to New York remains. The COVID assault on New York state in the spring was due to federal negligence.”

If he doesn’t get the funds he needs, the governor warned, he’ll be forced to cut Medicaid by $600 million, and slash state education funding by $2 billion.
“The new federal government didn’t cause the damage, but they are legally, ethically, and politically responsible for correcting it,” he insisted. The New York Post called Cuomo’s bluff.

When do we get to hold the individual governors responsible in their role in not being prepared and their miserable attempts to handle the rona virus that cost lives due to their negligence?

“But Cuomo’s complaint about not getting enough federal funding was undercut by his own 300-page budget book — at least when it comes to education,” they write. “The budget plan lauded billions of dollars in federal coronavirus aid to New York approved last year, allowing overall funding for education to increase by $2.1 billion or 7.1 percent — without the additional $15 billion he’s demanding.”

That shows you right there, all of these democrat governors that were in front of the cameras everyday yelling about no federal government help and it was that asshole Trump.

Were silently in the back ground collecting billions for their state so they could have the funds to deal with it,while claiming no help.

In total, Michigan received about $3.9 billion under the CARES Act's Coronavirus Relief Fund, but close to $800 million of that went to Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Kent counties, plus the city of Detroit. They each qualified for individual payments not necessarily because they were hardest-hit, but because they have populations above 500,000.Michigan is expected to deliver some of the remaining $3.1 billion to local governments not large enough to qualify for individual payments.

That was your governor telling the city of Detroit ,you are the hardest hit but you only get X amount because of your population.

One would think that in the real world you would throw the most amount of money at the hardest hit in order to contain it and stop the spread, why would it matter how many lived there ?

So people died because a governor chooses who does live and die,and you guys loved her for it because she made sure the world knew Trump sucked.

Heavy price to pay, don’t ya think?

Republican Governor Snyder was a lot cheaper than that. Sound practices.
