What if he picks Elizabeth Warren?

I hope he picks Susan Rice... she would probably be the most experienced at working in the White House. Karmala Harris would be my 2nd choice.

^ Politico announced that he had already chosen Harris but quickly retracted it,the date of the announcement was the same day of the convention.

Like they already printed it and it got placed by mistake.

Chris Wallace interview this morning of two hopeful picks for Vice President under Biden

    Question

What would you do as president to quell the violence of the protests.

    Answer

I think universal background checks would go along way to stop it.

    The second interview.

Four years ago you posted how the passing of Fidel Castro was a great loss to the Cuban people.

Her reply was, back in the seventies I spent a lot of time in Cuba as a activist against the war and promoting social programs.40 years ago.

    Chris Wallace

So you are saying that you were young and dumb.

    She says yes.

    Chris Wallace

But you were claiming the loss of Castro was devastating to the Cuban people 4 years ago.

Biden - I am so close to picking a female candidate that I can smell her.

Incredible: over four long years Biden is the best the democratic party could present as a presidential choice. He further delimits the VP option over the last three months! SMH......

Why Biden's VP pick will matter so much

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news...-will-matter-/

    From article:

...more traditional Democrats would prefer that Mr. Biden aim for the middle of the fairway and pick someone more, well, traditional.

For his part, Mr. Biden has carelessly and unwisely limited his options to women of color. As a practical matter, that likely means either Sen. Kamala Harris, Rep. Karen Bass or Obama adviser Susan Rice.

Each of those women would be a disappointment to the left wing of the party, and those partisans will undoubtedly announce their displeasure in ways subtle and gross immediately after the selection.

'In no way did I mean to suggest the African American community is a monolith': Biden APOLOGIZES

Here he goes digging a hole, jumping in, then trying to shovel his way out. This is second or third gaff he's made re. black people!

LOL - using the Washington Times as a source for such a thing. THE only major news daily that has been found less factual than some of the checkout line tabloids.

Granted, one can argue, yet more than a few [[and not just the repubs) are concerned that Biden so limited his choices. Especially, considering the VP may have to step forward fast should his health shift badly.

And Harris carries baggage that is most concerning to the black community as does Biden. So more is going to come forward to question much, from various news sources going forth. There may even be bi-partisan challenges to the status quo that may presented or extremes justified!

    Imagine that!

^^^ A sane person needs to be a THINKER.

    As most are emotive.

Which is exactly were the politicians want them to be.

Yep. Our own Gretchen Witmere can stop running about and resume putting all her energies into minding Michigan!

Joe Biden picks Kamala Harris as his running mate - putting her on ticket to be first black and first female vice-president

    • Joe Biden has picked Kamala Harris as his running mate
    • The two will appear together Wednesday in Wilmington, Delaware
    • Biden personally called Rep. Karen Bass to tell her she is not the pick
    • Biden gave no hint of who he was thinking of picking in public appearances over the weekend when he was at family beach home in Rehoboth, Delaware........

She was my first choice, then Rice. I don't think Gretchen was ever really in the heavy running. It was always going to be someone of color.

I don't think Gretchen was EVER running, nor do I think she really wanted it. I think there is a sweet Cabinet position in the offing though and then we can say good bye to her, and I don't blame her. I'd have my running shoes on if I were her. And then we get Gilchrist...

To be accurate, she did go to meet with Biden in Deleware last weekend which is when I think he told her she wasn't going to be VEEP but would be speaking at DNC and getting a cabinet position.

    Jesus...

In an interview with Fox Sports Radio, Trump said, “I would be inclined to go a different route than what he’s done,” indicating that Biden “roped himself off into, you know, a certain group of people.”

True. Yet she seemed to be courting out of state media a bit there etc. Anyway, she barely made it past Shri Thanedar if people recall.

Onward, now Harris can hopefully speak to, or, eh' for Biden, who for sure's been bumbling in his communication to reach black voters [[without at the same time condescending to us).
