Grace Slick isolated vocals in White rabbit have, at times, an Arabic musical quality.

On a day like today I would have to say "Stuck In The MIDDLE With You!"
Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you,
And I'm wondering what it is I should do,
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place,
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you....

The Nazz, Open your eyes.
Not Alice Cooper, Todd Rundgren
Louis Cole, one-half of a band called Knower. Kinda R&B-ish electro-funk. Completely DIY - they do their own videos, record their own records, manage their own tours. Opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers on a few gigs.
Anyways, their videos are endlessly entertaining. Here's a live session he recorded in his house with a large, tower of power-style horn section in his dining room [[drummer on the second floor landing, lead guitar in the half bath, and the keyboardist is set up on the stove.)
Not the most challenging music in the world, but it's simple, well-crafted pop, and you can tell everyone is having a good time making it.
Arcade Fire Everything Now
Most Popular Music Styles 1910 - 2019Timeline history of the most popular music genres and styles from 1910 to 2019. Historical popularity is based on worldwide vinyl and CD records release frequencies for specific genre adjusted to recent years music charts. Numbers are relative to each other to reflect popularity change throughout the years [[it's not a percentage). I've tried to use sub-genres in most cases to present as much as possible diversity.
Hat tip to Denis Safiullin, who alerted me to this idea.

This song perfectly encapsulates the Trumpite world:

Beats the shit out of me how a thread about music can turn political. Sheesh.
Rush, in celebration of Geddy Lee's 67th birthday.
Here's one chocked full of politics and philosophy [[smile):

Bump. Appropriate-for-this-forum group thread moved to Chit Chat from the closed Non-Detroit forum.
I am sometimes charged with a 9 and 6 year old. The 9 year old takes guitar lessons. Although he is not a prodigy, he is proud of playing a guitar. The 6 year old doesn't play an instrument yet. To further the 9 year old's interest in guitars and expose the 6 year old to other instruments and illustrate to both how the same song can be expressed differently, I put these three versions of Nothing Else Matters together. Might as well pass them along here too.
1.) Metallica - It's their song in a stadium concert venue
2.) Mozart Heroes - Guitar and cello, two Swiss guys
3.) Golden Salt - Guitar and violin, two Sardinian women
Throughout the pandemic, I've been listening to Scottish singer-songwriter Dougie Maclean. He's toured the U.S. extensively in the last 4 decades, but I happened upon him when researching our trip to Glasgow and Edinburgh a couple years back. We were lucky to hear him perform at the finale concert of the 2019 World Piping Championships in Glasgow. Been following him ever since.
Since the international shutdown in March, Dougie has been playing live shows in thanks to the frontline workers throughout the U.K.
So far he has played nearly 70 shows, almost all have been free to watch live on his Facebook page and then later on his YouTube channel [[Butterstone Studios).

I hope to see him perform live again in the U.S. someday, maybe at The Ark.

Myrkur [[Dutch musician that delved into Black Metal for a while) is a mix of an angelic voice with demonic undertones in the music.
The album Mausoleum is something you might try. It's not at all what the title suggests.
Last weekend was Memorial Day weekend. I did a search for how the poem "in Flanders Fields" might have been put to music. Most versions reflected an older generation's taste in music. This version had only 45 YouTube likes when I came across it. Odd choice of a photo but the tune is catchy. I know I've heard the tune before but can't identify it. Help, anyone?
