Birds of a feather.....
Yeah, Hillary Clinton has already been brought up in this thread many times already. If we're going to play Guilt By Association, then let's play it. Any comment on the Trump clan hob-nobbing with a rapist, or do you reserve that criticism solely for liberals who hob-nobbed with him?
Maybe Trump and Weinstein met at one of Jeffery Epstein's famous "parties." You know about Trump's good friend Jeffrey Epstein, right?
What part of this implies the women are attracted to HIM? Is it the part where he just kisses them without asking, or the part where he just grabs them by the pussy because he's a "star" and he can do what he pleases? How many women have come forward over the years to accuse Trump of lewd, inappropriate behavior or sexual harassment? Why are they not to be believed, but Weinstein's accusers are?
Trump: "Yeah that's her with the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful... I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything."
Bush: "Whatever you want."
Trump: "Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."
See? This is the difference. I denounce Harvey Weinstein. He's a piece of shit. I hope his life is ruined and nothing but bad things happen to him. Can you say the same for Trump, or Bill O'Reilly, or Roger Ailes? Show me that you are capable of denouncing Right Wing sexual predators, no matter how influential or powerful, and then you can claim the moral authority to attack liberals over Weinstein.
Until then, conservative in Glass Houses built by Right Wing sexual predators shouldn't throw stones.
Hob-Knobbing with supporters.....
^^^ Mingling and mangling, indeed.....

Ah, just like the Cub Room -- where the 'elite meet'!

I guess that's the difference between us. I hope he serves time, accepts that he's a piece of human garbage, and uses whatever money and influence he has left to make things better. Asking a lot, I know. He's already trying to deflect criticism by claiming that he's going after the NRA. First you fix yourself and help the people you've harmed.
Absolutely, when there is evidence of wrongdoing. Talking crap on a bus is not evidence. Bill O'Reilly and Roger Ailes can go to hell. Can you say the same for Trump, or Bill O'Reilly, or Roger Ailes? Show me that you are capable of denouncing Right Wing sexual predators, no matter how influential or powerful
My problems with Trump are with his policies, and that's what I attack him on. The stupid border wall, the "muslim ban," and pretty much anything to do with immigration. Threatening to pull NBC's license because he doesn't like them is something I'd expect from a crackpot like Hugo Chavez [[who actually went through with it, multiple times.)
Everything else is a distraction from stuff that matters.
As for the Right Wing thing - I've voted in every election in the last 30 years and voted for, maybe, four Republicans.
Jeffery Epstein also has ties to Bill Clinton. Sexual predators are bipartisan.Maybe Trump and Weinstein met at one of Jeffery Epstein's famous "parties." You know about Trump's good friend Jeffrey Epstein, right?

^^^ Indeed. Quite a few not-so-nice behaviors are bipartisan!!
The ties that bind .... money & power, regardless of source.
Yep,also coming up next will be thousands coming forward and saying, after the concert backstage he game me some acid and took advantage.
When I used to do advertising there was no shortage of women useing their womanly ways as a tease to seal the deal.Good thing I was married at the time and could resist the powers.
Politions did not have a problem hob nobbing with multi millionaire drugs dealers and the mob until they got caught, then it is like a deer in the headlights and the canned response of who would have guessed?

An article from last year:
https://theintercept.com/2016/10/07/...atter-message/
Hacked emails show that movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, a longtime ally of Hillary Clinton and a major fundraiser for her 2016 campaign, urged her campaign team to silence rival Bernie Sanders’s message against police shootings of African-Americans. He suggested countering it with “the Sandy Hook issue” — a reference to Sanders’s opposition to lawsuits against gun manufacturers.
Or what I'd expect to have seen out of Hillary to shut up any dissension [[including the right wingers)!
Of Trump and Bill Clinton, only one is currently President. How about we agree that both of these men, Trump and Clinton, need to be ushered off the public stage and away from the halls of power for the good of the country? Or are you going to denounce Clinton while still supporting Trump as our current President?Jeffery Epstein also has ties to Bill Clinton. Sexual predators are bipartisan.

It’s interesting that democrats want to equate President Trump with their Clinton, Weinstein, et al shit, when scores of victims have already come forward and openly accused Weinstein and he has already been judged and “punished” in the court of [[liberal) public opinion whereas non of PT’s 17 accusers had the balls [[pun not intended) to do anything except just creep away - even with the hatred of democrats/media rooting for them [[again no pun intended). Makes you wonder if the Russians were behind it.
Incidently I’d also like to denounce Clinton while still supporting Trump as our President.

When the sleazebag male holds the cards of your career and you could be black-listed on his say so, you would probably meet with him anywhere he said too. And just because he wanted to sleep with them doesn't mean he should have acted on it. Most men would like to canoodle with beautiful young women but then don't act on their feelings unless they are rapists. Oh, yeah, that's what Weinstein IS, isn't it? Don't start blaming the victim in this case until you know what it's like for women in the business world, ok?Not trying victim blaming, but one meets the guy knowing the reputation, why meet with him in the first place?
He was not the only producer, more so for those raised in the movie industry were aware of what was going on,the first offending encounter they could have walked away but they did not, they chose to continue with the production, rose to fame then talked about it.
From a woman's standpoint, would you agree to a meet alone in a hotel room with a known sleazebag or arrange a meet in a more controlled setting?
One if the tapes she is clearly highly intoxicated,so now you are going to meet with a known sleazbag alone in his hotel room while you are highly intoxicated, what could go wrong.
He was wrong in his methods but also entitled by thought because his actions were overlooked in the interest in getting the part.
I think if they ever got into the whole rock star aspect there would be hundreds of thousands of cases like this.

The guy's a total worm-bag for sure, but honest-to-god, jcole, there's enough blame to go around here. It's one thing if he man handled some green coed fresh out of drama school, but I'm sure more than one of these aspiring starlets knew exactly what she was getting into going into one of these hotel room interviews. Truth be told, probably more then one of those thought the millions she could possibly make would be worth just a few minutes of her time. Not every woman out there is an angelic symbol of feminism. In fact, some are down right unscrupulous, when it comes to using their feminine charms to get exactly what they want.
It doesn't matter if some "aspiring starlet" knew what she was "getting into" or not, some of them were NOT willing to go along with what he wanted so he assaulted them to get what he wanted. If only ONE of these women was raped, it still makes Weinstein a rapist. Call him what he is and don't blame the women for his criminal behavior. I know there are women who are unscrupulous, but that doesn't reduce his culpability in using his power to force women into sex. Any boss who uses his power to get a woman in bed is breaking the law. There are interviews out there of women that walked away, they choose not allowing an enabler over their movie career.
Two actresses picked for the role of Cleopatra one refused to sleep for the part the other one got the part.
She made a choice of values over fame, she still became a well known actress without sleeping for the part.
What makes up the different mindset?

Yes, Harvey Weinstein is a rapist. Yes, some women were not willing to go along with his plans. But please don't suggest they were all victims, or that "until you know what it's like for women in the business world". I've been on the opposite side of the interview table and have seen the 4 top buttons unbuttoned, legs crossed wide open with a perfect view, "I'll do anything to get this position", etc., etc., etc. It gets to the point where interviews are done with the door wide open or making sure someone else is in the room with you "to take notes", so later on harassment charges can't be filed. I'm not the only male having experienced this. And the job wasn't even close to offering millions of dollars in salary. The weaker sex.
I think Hollywood is just a rated R branch of the porn industry anyways.
People put actors and actresses up on a pedestal but when the makeup comes off it becomes countless marriages of convience leaving children in the wake and the race to who can walk the red carpet with the least amount of clothes on,sex sells, some view it as a commodity and use it to their advantage while others choose not to.
What is the difference between a strip club dancer dancing nude for a living and a actress doing a nude sex scene for millions to see across the world.
One is looked down on while the other is placed on a pedestal and given an award for doing well.
A half naked movie actress is a role model and glamorous, but yet it becomes shocking when it becomes public that the movie industry is just a reflection of the real world.
If Weinstein has such a controlling force on the movie industry as it is made out to be I can see there would also be reasons to remove him or motive just as there would be to knock De Beers down a few notches also.

But you didn't act on it, did you? That makes you NOT a rapist. I agree with you that there are women, and men, who would do anything to get what they want and that they should suffer punishment also. The punishment probably being they don't get what they want. The difference is that this man had enormous power in Hollywood and could destroy people's careers if he didn't get what he wanted, especially those who didn't have star power to begin with, like Rose McGowan. All it took was "Harvey says don't hire her" and she was done except with a few people who were strong enough to stand up to him, like Quentin Tarentino. The people who you were interviewing for positions had no power, like the young starlets Harv abused. I wouldn't go so far as to say willingly, but they weighed their options, bit the bullet and suffered that creepy old fucks hands all over them for the sake of their dreams. I don't know if I would have been strong enough to hold out either, in the face of losing everything I had worked for. The pig knew he had them over a barrel and used it. The people across the table from you were not trying to harm you nor you them. The whole Weinstein thing reminds me of the blacklisting in McCarthy era Hollywood. Tell Tail Gunner Joe "NO" and you were without a pot to piss inYes, Harvey Weinstein is a rapist. Yes, some women were not willing to go along with his plans.
