Alexander Trowbridge of Trowbridge & Ackerman was L. Stephen Trowbridge's brother. Trowbridge must have resided in the house for a short period of time as Eugene Lewis was residing in the house by 1915.

p69rrh51, that last house on Charlevoix is a very well maintained building. In fact the street it is on has several newly built homes surrounded by a prairie.... a very interesting oasis among the desolation of that part of the east side....
