Sometimes I wonder whether we were all exposed to more British TV than others simply because we lived near Windsor. I remember watching shows on Channel 9 that they'd never ever play in the states. There was one on futurology that I watched compulsively. I wish I could remember the name. "21st Century"?
Ha! I found it! Here Come The 70s opening
THE PRISONER - 6 ALTERNATE THEMES - Pick Your Fave
I would have picked the "I Spy" theme except I have to admit the final one that stuck was best.
TILLICUM - [[The theme song from Here Comes the Seventies TV Show) - by Syrinx.Ha! I found it! Here Come The 70s opening
This tune has been haunting me for decades.
Does this count as haunting? Because that is what I was enjoying a moment, ago.
Oops. We made a wrong turn. Here are my faves from this historic era of freedom, expression and rebellion.
The Band, Canned Heat, Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival and a snippet from Richie Havens.
Which exit ramp gets us back to where we belong?
Propagate. Here are some more of my faves from the counter culture of the sixties and seventies with Norman Greenbaum, Tommy Shondell, Eric Burdon, Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin.
Here's some non-traditional x-mas music:

Mariah Carey does a good job of one of my Christmas favorites: Oh Holy Night

Besides endless Christmas music, just re-discovered Francis Bebey - late 70's African proto-house. Great stuff if you like early Krautrock/Musique Concrete-type stuff.
V 98.7, HD-1. Whatever you're thinking, I like their style of Christmas music. It's tripping without being too commercial or schmaltzy.
I just found out PF Sloan died in Nov.Happy 70th birthday to songwriter PF Sloan. I'm sure we all remember his big hit song "Secret Agent Man" as performed by Mel Torme:

Or maybe this one by the Turtles:

He also wrote "Eve of Destruction" and did some Dylanish things on his solo albums, but I like
the poppier ones best.

Mozart. Beethoven. Vivaldi. Maybe a little Leroy Anderson or Andrew Lloyd Webber. But I'm a fossil of the past as my 80th birthday approaches in this new year. There has been little decent new music since that Presley fellow recorded "That's all right, mama". [[Oh. Happy birthday, Elvis!)
Guess we have to throw on some Bowie today. RIP David.

So Wreckless Eric, anybody remember him? Stiff records artist in the 70s, still performing. Anyway I was reading his autobiography and found out he went to Hull art college with Lowell's friend Stephen Goodfellow and they were briefly in a group together.
Here's one of Eric and his wife Amy Rigby:

Just read that Dan Hicks died.

I just found out that Cynthia Robinson from Sly and the Family Stone died a few months back.

Keith Emerson also died. ELP wasn't my thing but here he is abusing his keyboard at the Isle of Wight Festival:

Awesome one above, JBMcB. Ever since, "What We Do in the Shadows", this song passes through my headhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpoPY2YrOt8. Yet, now, this one struck me, recently, and I really regret selling my CD for cash. Also, it sounds a bit like this onehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEDS3t6VkxE.
I thought Ray1936 might enjoy this playlist: A classical playlist.
I can remember in the 1960s when ABC News would traditionally open each night's news with Beethoven's Symphony No.9 — nationwide to a [[mostly) captive audience.
That had to have had an effect of some sort on the entire country.
