Can you speak further about foliage in the city in the past? I've heard that Detroit, while still relatively leafy today, was much more forested back then. I'm curious as to your experiences in the city before, during, and after Dutch Elm Disease hit.
Here's the link to an archived thread from 2006 regarding Dutch Elm Disease and its effects on Detroit. http://www.atdetroit.net/forum/messa...tml?1152274095
Adding insult to injury was the Emerald Ash Bore which was also a disaster to this former "city of trees". Imagine all the CO2 these trees were eating up!
