I guess Zimmerman could have let Trayvonn pummel his head into the cement a few more times or let him gain control of his gun. That probably would have led to the "severe" injuries...

Whether Trayvon Martin started hitting Zimmerman is a moot point. put yourself in his place: you are going home - a fact which any reasonable person must a gree that he had the right to do. some big guy you don't know is following you. What would you do? did Martin have the right to defend himself against someone he reasonably felt was stalking him [[because Zimmerman WAS stalking him)? Can Zimmerman really claim self defense when HIS actions caused Martin to feel he had to defend himself?
