first off, the original Continental was, indeed, officially a Lincoln, second, the MK Z ad shows a suicide door hard top Continental, so I was wrong there, as were we all, and the "MK Z Phoenix" ad shows the last Town Car.If its the Lincoln Motor Company they are trying to portray, where is the Model K series? Also why show an automobile that very few[[except for Lincoln fanatics/experts) know about or a car that was "technically" not Lincoln? With some of the newer continentals, anything manufactured after the Mark IV are utter crap. The LS on the other hand is an excellent automobile. The branding strategy seems to be all over the place and the question still stands why aren't there any models made after the early 60's Continental. Maybe because for the last 50 years Lincoln has been selling mostly less than desirable cars. Now they are going through this convoluted exercise to bring to our attention some older automobiles that hardly anyone knows about and some could careless about so they can "brand" themselves? Just for your info. I am a big Zephyr fan as well as all Continentals up to the Mark IV. Personally I think the Mark III and IV should be shown in the commercials.
I know all about the "suicide" door continental I used to see a black convertible several days a week on my way to work[[the moron owner left the car outside in the elements). I have not seen the MK Z Phoenix ad and I am glad to know that a Town Car was used. I look forward to seeing what year the Town Car is.
The old Chrysler muscle car ads were cool.
This one is for the 1970 Plymouth GTX with music by the Zombies.

Very nice I have not seen that in a long time. I also like the Head Skis in the promo. I dated a gal in college whose father helped to produce that promo he still lives in Grosse Pointe. The old Chrysler muscle car ads were cool.

When I was in high school, we had a Zephyr wagon with a V8 - and the V8 had an "experimental" fuel system [[Ford, at the time, would occasionally throw odd things into exec. lease cars for real world testing). I pulled up to a a stoplight and there was a guy in a Trans Am next to a Porsche 944 Turbo, and they were going for it. I calmly beat both of them. The looks on their faces was priceless
this is that 2005 Mustang Convertible ad
The 2007 Dodge Caliber commercial was controversial.
"Silly little fairy!" LOL

Nothing more embarrassing than losing a stoplight race to a Station Wagon!! On the other hand I can never say anything against the Fairmont/Zephyr. They put me through High School and College. My father was the rep for the manufacturer of the windshield wipers that were used on the cars and they also were used on the Mustang of the era. Also my mom had a 1977 Pontiac Lemans Station Wagon with a 400 ci engine[[6.6 liter for those not versed in antiquated ways of figuring engine displacement) in the automobile. My friends and I used to have fun beating some of the anemic "performance" cars of the era. When I was in high school, we had a Zephyr wagon with a V8 - and the V8 had an "experimental" fuel system [[Ford, at the time, would occasionally throw odd things into exec. lease cars for real world testing). An image of a similar SW although ours was all silver w/o the fake wood.
I forgot about that commercial. I loved it, never understood the "controversy" around it. The actress who played the fairy was cute, and now she looks familiar. The 2007 Dodge Caliber commercial was controversial.
