Depends on where you live I suppose. But there's people out there forced to abandon their cars to be rescued... And I don't mean the middle of nowhere. If you treat the situation seriously and stay in, you are helping reduce the burden on law enforcement, and allowing city maintenance to get the job done.

It may not be the end of the world, but it could be the end of your own or someone else's should you choose to drive in inclement whether. Ice is not forgiving, even when you are driving at slow speeds or risk walking to work just as 12 pounds of ice dislodges and falls from 40 stories up.
