For the last 8 years, the FDA has been staffed with corporate shills who consistently pushed through dangerous medicines and devices that were never tested properly. As a result, hundreds of thousands of Americans were put in harms’ way, and many lost their lives. But now that Bush is out of town and his cronies have left Washington with him, we might finally have an FDA that will work for consumers, and not worry about the pharmaceutical industry’s bottom line. We’ve already seen a big reversal in the fact that President Obama has already agreed to give the agency their largest budget in history.
