Wrong.

There are literally how-to videos on youtube that show how to hack voting machines. It's surprisingly easy given that some municipalities were using voting machines that were still running unpatched versions of Windows XP as their operating systems. [[Microsoft stopped issuing security updates for Windows XP in 2014)

What is de facto impossible is to hack a nationwide election, due to the fact that our election systems are decentralized and that there are dozens of different machines in use across the country. So yes, it's extremely unlikely to hack machines all over the country and change millions of votes. But to say that it's "virtually impossible" to hack them is flat out wrong because as I already proved in the link above, people have already done it with extreme ease.A 16 year old at DefCon hacked one in 90 minutes. A Princeton University computer science professor bought one online and was able to hack it within mere minutes.
