This is more like a terrifying video
Yeah it was! I saw that on a news site earlier today and was sorry I watched it.

Sorry. I didn't mean to upset anyone.

It struck a chord because of the ordeal our family survived during Hurricane Betsy in New Orleans in 1965. We lived right across the levee from Lake Ponchartrain and so were evacuated by the National Guard. On the return trip home the adults made us kids sit on the floor so we "wouldn't be able to see the bodies that get stuck up in the trees after the flood recedes."

We suffered no significant loss. The sturdy brick house still stands. We lived on the second floor and so would have survived there without evacuation.

I'm thankful I haven't had to experience anything like that. Here is the young man who made the video and his friends on Anderson Cooper's show:

Thank you, Pam! That really filled in the mysteries about that video.

    The Grand Rapids LipDub
The Grand Rapids LipDub Video was filmed May 22nd, with 5,000 people and involved a major shutdown of downtown Grand Rapids, which was filled with marching bands, parades, weddings, motorcades, bridges on fire, and helicopter take offs. It is the largest and longest LipDub video, to date.

This video was created as an official response to the Newsweek article calling Grand Rapids a "dying city." We disagreed strongly and wanted to create a video that encompasses the passion and energy we all feel is growing exponentially, in this great city. We felt Don McLean's "American Pie," a song about death, was in the end, triumphant and filled to the brim with life and hope." - Rob Bliss, Director & Executive Producer

*Note: The "NEW WORLD RECORD" designation refers to size and scope, not duration.

This $40,000 production was entirely financed by the generosity of local sponsors....
Pretty good for only $40,000 but imagine the choreography nightmares!

The Grand Rapids LipDub video made the ABC Nightly News tonight. They said it was made in one continuous shot. I assume that means there was no editing. The explosions were made with non-dairy creamer.

    Default 3000 Years of Art

This masterpiece needs to be better preserved. The online quality has been deteriorating for years. Can anyone help?

    Classical Gas

It's certainly worthy of being nationally archived. Is there a link?

    Default Carousel Horse Race

For our latest mission we turned a carousel into a horse race. A single jockey was joined by two announcers, a roaring crowd, and a trumpeter. The children on the carousel had no idea what was going on. The mission took place at Le Carrousel in New York's Bryant Park.
I love the way they make the audience the real star.

This is a 14 second clip of a Red Wings - Blackhawks game. If you look at :07 of the clip, a ref seems to skate in from another dimension ! I watched it about five times and still can't believe it.

The best Rube Goldberg style viral video I've seen yet - and I've seen quite a few!

Epic kitten battle set to scary movie music. I'm not the neighborhood crazy cat man - I have one OLD cat, but this is pretty good for a laugh.

No fun video here - But I wonder why they had the historic landing of the last shuttle at 5:15 am EST? Do we really want to watch all this stuff in the dark? While most people were asleep? Bad move NASA - at least we have re-runs to watch. Nice use of taxpayer dollars.

Default Grinding The Crack - Wingsuit flying

    Edited by Gian Autenrieth

Multiple camera angle flying the crack. I already know the exit was horrible but the flight made up for it

you can fallow my latest news at http://www.jeb.corliss.com
Around 1:26 you can judge how close he comes to colliding with the ground by the size of his shadow. He gets even closer judging by the above screenshot taken at 1:46. He could have steered for a safer approach but he chose this one for this video.

Heh. Go jump off a cliff.

Gnome, the "Go jump off a cliff" comment was directed toward Jeb Corliss, not you. Because he literally jumped off a cliff!

    My apologies for any ambiguity.

My down fall - anything to do with "The Office" on TV. I have watched every episode, ten times, and still laugh out loud. The greatest writers of all time. I've read the books from Chelsea Handler[[3), Sarah Silverman , and Tina Fey. [[Among others) and had to laugh at just one. [[Chelsea, you Vodka, nugget whore, you know who you are). The one woman after my heart. And hey - is that redhead in the Office, still available ?

Edited for Chelsea - still my wanna mamma.
