Keep up the good work with this thread, Jimaz, I appreciate your efforts in selecting interesting, informative, and mostly current events and relevant political information from the GoLeft TV site, and posting brief summaries with links to it here.

Ccbatson's truly weird obsession in posting replys with mainly insulting and dismissive analysis of the links' subject matter w/o ever clicking and reading them beforehand gives me a chuckle every time. Maybe he believes that he is doing some kind of "necessary" conservative public service for any newcomers and lurkers who browse topics here on DYes. Since he runs the board every day and mostly posts replys with one sentence, I doubt if he could ever gather information from a conservative website on a consistent basis, and maintain an ongoing thread with it, like you do with this one.

Flanders, thanks for your support. I enjoy your posts too.

    It's no big deal.

If anyone's only mildly interested, I'd recommend viewing only "Ring of Fire's Weekly News" with RFK Jr. that appears over the weekend. He often offers exclusive insights that only a Kennedy could provide. It's very educational.

Default Is The Economy Saying "No" to Stimulus?

Is The Economy Saying "No" to Stimulus?
Yes, the economy is showing a few signs of progress, but not enough. And it certainly isn't enough to say that we've achieved our goal and we should immediately stop the stimulus spending. Mike Papantonio takes on Fox News' Bulls and Bears to try to teach them that if we stop spending now, we'll end up with an even worse economy.

Default Government Employees Make Too Much Money?

Only a Republican would think that a low-level government employee makes too much money. And only a Republican would focus on that fact instead of the 500 to 1 ratio of CEO to employee pay. Mike Papantonio takes on the Bulls and Bears who are attacking government workers for allegedly making too much money. Watch as they attack unions, teachers, firefighters, and police officers.

Default Lessons From Darwin - We're Still Evolving

Charles Darwin developed his theory of evolution based on some of the amazing adaptations and changes that he witnessed in the creatures of the Galapagos Islands. This theory has been criticized by politicians, religious zealots, and school boards across the country, but among the scientific community, there is little debate about evolution. As Mike Papantonio discusses, for the sake of mankind, let's hope that Darwin is correct and that mankind is continuing to evolve.

Default Glenn Beck Gets Ready To Tea Bag

Glenn Beck Gets Ready To Tea Bag
    Cross-posted at Huffington Post.

Well, Americans, our day is almost here! As you know April 15th is National Tea Party Day! Or if you want to go by it's full title, it's Fox News Channel presents a Freedom Works Production based on the short rant of Rick Santelli of Tax Day Tea Parties starring Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin, Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity and the Fox News Dancers.

And of all the teabaggers, none is more hyped up and ready to be dipped than Mr. Glenn Beck. As you will see when you watch this video of his Tea Party preparations. Take a look.

As others have noted, Glenn is getting harder and harder to satirize. I mean really, is it that far off to imagine him dressing up in a tea bag? This is the same man who just in the last week has pretended to be President Obama dousing a man in gasoline. He had an actor pretend to be Thomas Paine to promote the Fox News teabagging. Hell, a man fainted on his set, and people thought it was just part of the act. You know, Glenn being Glenn. And this is just in the last week!

Oh, and he's going on a stand up comedy tour. I've seen his act, and it's pretty good. However, it is a bit of a Jeff Foxworthy "you might be a redneck" rip off. See, Glenn goes on stage and says things like...

"If you randomly burst into tears at highly inopportune moments, like a four year old who hasn't had his nap... you might be a Glenn Beck."

"If instead of canned goods, your fallout shelter is full of unsold copies of A Christmas Sweater... you might be a Glenn Beck."

"If you're constantly using words you don't know the meaning of... like socialist, communist, fascist, and populist... you might be a Glenn Beck."

Hey! I got an idea. Whoever writes the best "You might be a Glenn Beck" joke in the comments section below, I'll mail them a free Headzup t-shirt. No kidding. Get a commenting!

Also, feel free to follow me on Twitter if you're someone who does that sort of thing.

Default The Truth About the Budget

    Total duration 15 minutes:
    The Truth About the Budget
The GOP is up in arms over President Obama's $3.5 trillion dollar budget. Apparently they've forgotten that President Bush approved a $3 trillion dollar budget last year. The main criticism is that the increased deficit spending, which would only be about 9%, will push our country further into a recession. Again, history seems to contradict their claims. After all, Ronald Reagan operated with a 17% budget deficit, Bush Sr. worked with 11%, but Bill Clinton turned that around to less than 1% within 18 months of taking office, so these are issues that can quickly be turned around. Mike Papantonio of Air America's Ring of Fire talks with representative Allyson Schwartz about the truth behind Obama's budget.

Privatize those "government jobs" and then there will be no qualm for the pay. Why? because taxpayers fund those jobs and have a right to know what THEIR hard earned money is going for.

Default The Invisible Wounds of War

    Total duration 18 minutes:
    The Invisible Wounds of War
Increasingly we're hearing reports of soldiers returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan and committing acts of violence against their spouses, girlfriends, or other people close to them. While the VA has been slow to diagnose these mental problems as post traumatic stress, the symptoms are clearly visible from these "invisible wounds." Mike Papantonio of Air America's Ring of Fire talks with author Ann Jones about these wounds, and what needs to be done to prevent the violence that's occurring all over our country.

Once again, liberals shift responsibility away from the individual. If someone commits a crime, like abusing a spouse, THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE, no excuses.

Detroitej72, thanks for your support. I enjoy your posts too.

I don't intend to make anyone angry but it does become necessary to ignore those who abuse their first amendment rights beyond the spamming threshold.

I do enjoy GoLeftTV and so like to share it [[constrained largely to one thread) with those who appreciate it.

    It's just that simple.

Default Justice Department Turns the Table on Political Prosecutions

The reversal of Ted Stevens' conviction was a start, but now the Justice Department needs to look into the bigger political prosecutions, including former Alabama governor Don Siegelman, and attorney Paul Minor. Mike Papantonio discusses these cases, and what needs to be done to right the wrongs of the last 8 years of politically motivated prosecutions.

Let Texas secede. Then we invade it to capture G.W. Bush, try him as a war criminal, then "liberate" them by bringing the state back to the union.
