    It's time to decide....
I wanna hear some revolution out there.....
Who'dofthunk people in 2009 would be listening to stuff like this, from Green Day?

    Violence is an energy
    From here to eternity
    Violence is an energy
    Silence is the enemy
    So gimme gimme revolution

The more I feel it, the more it grows!

Cc: I know I'm three days late with this comment, but it's good to see you drop in on one of the few non-confrontational, just-for-fun threads here on DY.

    Bx:
Your mention of Angela Bofill - People Make The World Go Round struck a nerve here. I saw her perform several times, decades ago.
Sad what has happened to her [[two devastating strokes, no medical insurance), but the music lives on!

Right now, I am listening to Diddley Daddy, by the old Detroit Blues Band

Ok, Ok, not wanting to thread grab, this will be my last entry here for a while.

"I Walk On Guilded Splinters", by Dr. John

Due to the lack of work situation, couldn't make it to the show tonight. The thing is, I miss the pops and cracks from the old vinyl album that contributed to the vibe of this song. Digital version is too clean!
Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Early gospel music. This song rocks. I just read about this lady in a book I am reading. I never heard of her before. Thanks to the magic of You Tube, here she is:

Yes, sort of like some black and white movies should have been left that way.

Wasn't it Turner that went on the "colorization" kick about some 10-15yrs back with their MGM catalog?
Listening to Steppenwolf's "Hey Lawdy Mama".

    You are correct about that.
Vet was summing up Michael Jackson's talents.

Going to listen to Queen's "Fat Bottom Girls", then follow it up with Boston's "Foreplay/Long Time".

Yea, Jackson was exceptionally talented...too bad he was such a twisted and evil freak.
