These are both pieces of theme music from two recent TV series. Both series have stars who are complicated not nice power people. One is a Democrat. The other a Viking. Both are, to my taste, on the edge well produced programs.

The first is the theme music from House of Cards. It fits the cut throat duplicity portrayed in our capitol. Moodiness, power, and danger are combined with horns and violins.


Only one video is allowed at a time. To be continued on the next post.

Pop-Rock, Post Indie with some monotone junk is selling right now in the market. Rap music today is going back underground.

The Monkees weren't a band, they were actors on a TV show that became a band for concerts, one album [[Headquarters) [[two after Justus) and a few songs after Headquarters. Yeah, I'm a fan. Headquarters is probably the best garage band album of the 60s, and the guys individually and collectively created some great music, esp. after forcing Donnie Kirchner out. And Dolenz is one of the all-time great vocalists:

I couldn't find this Vikings series on Netflix although I know I've watched a few episodes but not sure where or how I watched them but it was not by ordering DVDs from Netflix. Could they have taken it off the streaming menu?

Django, Netlix only has them on DVD They aren't available on streaming. I got to see them because I stumbled into a the entire series on YouTube. Someone had titled them in Chinese so it took awhile before YouTube caught up with them. Synopsis of last episode with Aslaug.

The first time I tried it it didn't seem to work. Not sure why. Maybe I wasn't patient enough after pressing the keys. It seems pretty laggy. When it does work, it is very amusing.

Well since it's the Holidays [[for you non-heathens out there... ) and I had the rare good fortune to get a free ticket to the Detroit PBS Soirée at the Rattlesnake Club on Dec. 1... which honored WTVS Detroit Public TVs sponsored the now world-wide popular operatic-pop boy band [[from Italy) IL VOLO. It was their way for thanking PBS for the 2 years of sponsorship support... and what a glorious evening it was. They produced a new Christmas CD/DVD called Buon Natale... and they sang O Holy Night... which as a standard American tune... but no young performers have the strong windpipes that these 3 guys have... a cross between the Jonas Brothers and the 3 Tenors...
