I love showing the photo of Campus Martius way back in the day filled with all those beautiful old buildings. Wish someone would post it. It always fools people. They don't believe I'm showing a picture of Detroit. The wealth in the city was just extraordinary.
There's 2 more movies in the works that will be utilizing the interior of the former Michigan Theatre....
Maybe there's hope one day for "Paris of the Midwest".... after all "Athens on the Isar" and "Florence on the Elbe" came back from near death experiences....
Detroit is not the only world famous city that is crumbling and losing its' population. For all the tourism that Venice still has... it has lost 2/3 of its' population of a century ago [[200,000 down to about 65,000)... and many of its' centuries old palaces and buildings have been slowly crumbling and deteriorating moldy empty shells.
