Someone asked recently about the record for long time parishoners. My mom and dad must have been close. We moved them out this past weekend, to an assisted living place out in Sterling Heights. They had been in that house since 1951, it would have been sixty years this summer.

Now, that's impressive. You don't hear about people staying in their houses for so long. tsom, I pray that they are in good health and will continue to live a good life. What was the address?

One of my neighbor's still lives in her house on Maddelein; she has been there for as long as I can remember and longer. So at least 55 yrs for her.

Thanks Laing. Sad to say they probably stayed there too long. Their mobility is not the greatest, so they rarely got out the house the past year or so. I think they will certainly be happier in their new digs. The address was 12308 Lansdowne.

Glad they are happy. So, that was between Casino and Morang, right? Do you remember Tom Swaney who also lived on Lansdowne? He was in my class.

Note quite, one block up, between Moross and Casino. The name sounds familiar, but can't say for sure. I suspect he was in the crowd we use to play wiffle ball with. There was a house on a double lot on Lansdowne next to the alley behind Morang. The extra lot was just big enough for wiffle ball. One summer in particular, that was the place to hang out.
