    That computer was an IBM Displaywriter. It preceded the PC by a couple of years, first introduced in 1980. It was a dedicated word processor. It boasted an 8086 processor, no graphics or color on the display, and no hard drive, just the old 7 + inch floppy discs that sat in a separate unit affectionately dubbed "The Toaster". That was the first project I worked on when I hired on at Big Blue.
