Hi everyone
Our friend Gus fell late Monday night carrying a 50 lb box of clay and broke his hip. Surgery is today . Spread the word please. Prayers and well wishes for Bob and Heidi.
Thanks for telling us. Can you give us updates now and then? please?
I will keep everyone updated .
Godspeed Gus-man. Talk to you soon.
In traction a little uncomfromtableb get a buzz on. Suragery Friday am.
Geez Gus, we used to fall down all the time and never get hurt. I thought you were a pro.
Keep the buzz goin' Gus.
...check with hoover about that pain medication...
Maybe at the next party, we should all just lay on the floor so that we wouldn't have to fall. Gravity can be dangerous at our age.
...horizontal and breathing is fine with me...equal points of pressure on the whole body...all at once...
...i remember the night van morrison was at the gar wood, and i saw gus in a state of what i thought was extreme stress...he was leaning on a wall in the ballroom up by where the band was playing and he just up and slid down the wall like a big piece of sticky jell-o and plopped on his ass...said he just ate a bunch of hash...he stayed there for a long time...i don't think that qualifies as a fall, though...
...people stoppin' by leave a dollar at the door---
...twenty minutes later we're all crawlin' on the floor...
,,,it's just a saturday night and we're still lookin' for that rock 'n' roll band...
....Gar Wood Party Song...
In 5 party harmony or would that be
in 55 part harmony?
Get better soon Gus...maybe some prescription peyote would help.
Any word on Gus?
Is that a new photo of Gleeman?
For Christmas last year my Husband gave me a surprise of a lifetime.
He drew me, he matted me, he framed me,
he wired me, then he hung me.
I could not be more excited.
Thank You Honey!
this one's in my gar wood file for sure....great work, rob!
I have Gus's address if anyone would like to send him a card [[or other forms of "get better assistance") send me an email [[don't want to post his address here)
That's really nice Isle. Does he do that for a living?
Yes old guy, he has a been graphic designer, illustrator, fine artist and art teacher for 42 years.
Gary M. and Rob both went to the same art college around the same time. More recently he has been doing pastel portraits of our grandchildren and other family members. Glad you and so many people like it, we have not posted his work on line yet.
