Detroit River Fishing

The Great Detroit Flood of 2014 resulted from the second largest downpour in Detroit history. It closed several expressways and poured into thousands of Metro Detroit basements. The 4.72 inches of rain was the highest daily recorded rainfall since July 31, 1925, when 4.74 inches of rain fell. What went wrong? Could it have been prevented?

Michigan and Detroit have so much to offer and I look forward to telling everyone who will listen what a wonderful experience we have had in your city and hope that this is just the first of many movies we are able to film here.
    Thanks for the free advertising.

The letter made me feel good. I'm glad they had a good experience. I can't wait to see the movie.

Made me feel good too -- it's the Detroit I know and the people I have met. I also look forward to the movie. I would hope they would premier it at the Fox.

It's nice to see people with propers take the time to write Thank You notes. It's this sort of stuff that I almost wish the State of Michigan would take out an ad in the entertainment trade papers and run it. It's pure gold and speaks volumes of the possibilities of our state becoming a movie making mecca.

Great for everyone except the downtown trees that were defoliated to make it look like "winter..."

yeah - wheres my free tickets - those weasels woke me up in the middle of the night with the machine guns. Nothing like waking up to a 50 cal firing full blast at the end of your street.

With a name like mauser, I'd have thought you'd love waking up to the sound of a high powered rifle blasting away.

Snarkiness aside, an acquaintance of mine had an issue with the film crew who blocked off her street, and she could not get to her house. No warning or notice to the neighborhood. Really nice huh?

On a lighter note, common courtesy or manners as displayed by this thank you note is uncommon these days and nice to see. All people know how to do now is text "thx" or something equally as lame. Or do nothing at all, just move on to the next distraction in electronic gadget land.
