Come to think of it, funky never did weigh in on the pizza question. Must be scrolling madly through all the wingnut blogs looking for something, ANYTHING to use.

Historically, aren't most Fascist regimes corporatist by way of using corporations as the vehicle of financial tyrrany and oppression.

Precisely- now you're catching on. And the Bush Crime Family and their minions exemplify fascism at it's finest.

Except there weren't any corporate socialists working with GWB. Obama has many banks, AIG, GE, CHrysler, GM, and counting.

Sorry, Exxon, big pharma, Carlyle group, Halliburton, Bechtel, KBR, on, and on, and on.

You know what...I'll grant you big pharma via Bush's biggest liberal move...Medicare D. The rest had nothing to do with the administration in terms of collusion or control.

Halliburton moved it's corporate headquarters to Dubai to avoid paying US taxes, while Cheney fed them no-bid government contracts. Anti American fascism at it's finest.

As should/would any capitalist minded, profit valuing corporation.

How does Cheney feed anyone contracts as VPOTUS?

You called me dense in another post, so back at ya.

You really don't think an Imperial VP like Cheney couldn't grease the path to no-bid contracts for a firm he still had a financial interest in, and was the former CEO of?

Naive doesn't even begin to describe it!

Did not...I said you could not be dense [[that is the opposite).

Not within the powers of the VPOTUS Lorax...unless you have proof of it, it is a silly and unsubstantiated allegation.

    Did so.....guilt by inference.

Look up any mention of Halliburton/Cheney and see how no-bid government contracts work in the new age of illegal war profiteering. Both wars were designed to be nothing more than another way for fascist right wing corporations to supply the military/industrial complex with materiel.

And make the wealthy white Rehtuglican owners of these firms even wealthier, all at taxpayer's expense, i.e. Blackwater, Bechtel, KBR, Northup, Halliburton, Exxon, General Dynamics, etc., etc, etc.

    Capitalism at it's worst.

Typical conservative right-wing conflation. Do I have to remind you--again--of which POTUS initiated the big bailouts? But of course, it's all Obama's fault...Obama delenda est!

Clearly you have forgotten that the banks and AIG received their golden gifts from that great capitalist god of the right wing, George W. Bush.

And least you forget that Chrysler was helped out by the Italian Company Fiat.

Good point regarding GWB bailing out the couple of banks and AIG while holding his nose on his way out the door.

"Holding his nose"? Laughing up his sleeve, more likely...

Elganned...you just implied that the bailouts [[under GWB, at least) were deceptive and wrong. Well, do you realize what that says about the left? They were drooling in support of this and the subsequent bailouts. Gonna vote for conservative Republicans next time?

We know you will, and your candidate is certainly Barack Obama.

He's the best friend of conservative right wing ideologues, they just don't know it yet.

Let them get a taste of Dennis Kucinich or Keith Olbermann as president, they'll be running to Obama's arms in a heartbeat.

I implied no such thing. You implied that the bailouts were all Obama's doing; I was merely reminding you that Obama delenda est! doesn't justify distorting the facts.
Well, do you realize what that says about the left? They were drooling in support of this and the subsequent bailouts.
I don't believe "drooling" is an accurate characterization. And as I recall, there were plenty of Republicans who supported the bailouts.
Gonna vote for conservative Republicans next time?
Last time I voted for a conservative Republican was Ronnie, first term. Seeing how that screwed up the country, I won't do it again. Fool me once, etc., etc.

Drooling is a mild characterization as they followed up with 3 more bigger boondoggles of that sort.

Sarah Palin, John McCain and Rush Limbaugh. 3 boondoggles. Of course I can't say the other word anymore, so I have to resort to other terminology

I hardly think me pointing out that the libs supported the first bailout under GWB, and repeated them on a larger scale numerous times is irrelevant, or childish in the least.

There wasn't much of a choice, was there? Either bail or fail. And the fallout was less severe because of it.
