I have said it repeatedly...CAPITALISM is the mechanism. If that is too complicated for some to apply, read the reference book I suggested.

In other words, you have no answer. Thank you for admitting it.

A one word answer issued repeatedly..CAPITALISM...not no answer [[in those words, or any other).

One word repeated ad nauseum does not an answer make. It requires amplification, if you're to be taken seriously.

It's like repeatedly answering "circulation"--mybad, CIRCULATION--to questions about the mechanism of capillary constriction. Circulation is a system, capillary constriction is a mechanism. A system is the total picture, the mechanisms are what enable the system to work.

Capitalism is a system, not a mechanism. So I will once again repeat the question to which you appear to have no answer:

What is the mechanism whereby the people in government are prevented from taking powers which aren't granted?

The problem is neither poverty nor power, nor some other 'thing' out there..

The 'root cause' of humanities ills is human nature.

And you will always have ill motivated people, even some just plain evil people.

Which is why good people unify to protect themselves [[i.e. government by the consent of the governed.)

The fault lies not in the stars, but in within us.

If human nature translates to individual liberty and freedom [[and a system that fosters it), then, on balance we have good. The converse being true, collectivism, being evil, leads to increasing misery and evil.
