If the Free Press article is correct, it looks like the developers did not research the site completely, and are now trying to pull a fast one. How do you miss a 100 foot wide easement in existence for almost 120 years? I usually find myself siding with development, but I cannot do that here based on the circumstances as presented in the article. On the other hand, how was the previous structure, the Deck Bar, situated in relation to this easement?
