Most of the thefts are org. crime. CBC did a story where they found vehicles on dealer lots in Africa, where most cars are taken. They called the owners back in Ontario and told them what was still on their car seat. A couple even still had Ontario plates. My niece left the driveway for her airport job at 3:00 am. She was parked behind my sister's car. My sister's new car was stolen at 3:10 according to their webcam. Some Toronto new car dealers are selling more vehicles to replace theft than to new customers.

^ Agreed! Strong-running cars [as they'd have to be to withstand the rougher and un-paved roads in parts of Africa] would be prime for these rings.
