Default 4-year-old boy mauled to death by dog while playing in backyard - Detroit's west side

Too sad to comprehend. This boy was betrayed in the worst way possible.

4-year-old boy mauled to death by dog while playing in backyard on Detroit's west side

A young child has been mauled to death by a dog on the city’s west side....

... the boy was playing in the backyard.

Two dogs have been captured but police are still working to determine whether both were involved in the attack. The breeds were not confirmed, but police believe they may have been pit bulls....
I heard they haven't determined who owned the dogs or even if they were owned.

This is a developing news story.

The story said that tge dogs came from next door. The owner is denying ownership. That owner need to be Interrogated. Detroit has a relaxed ordinance on dog ownership and the type of fencing required for containing the dogs

Those who sit on the Charter Commission are just collecting money and not enforcing these ordinances. There should be a rule that any resident that has a aggressive large dog and not adequate fencing around the house should have a lean put on the house. It's amazing that the Animal Rights Activist have commercials stating that neighbors should report any dogs left outside in the cold. They fail to say that neighbors should report any neighbor that has a large or very aggressive type dog and not adequate fencing around the house

Large dogs should be treated like guns. Highly regulated and registered for public safety. How many more people need to die before we realize that allowing these animals to be owned by anyone isn't worth it.

Here's another one. Is this becoming a trend?

Couple out for walk with Labrador attacked by stray dogs in Grosse Pointe Park

Two stray dogs are reportedly still on the loose after they allegedly attacked a husband, wife and their Labrador Retriever as they finished up a walk in Grosse Pointe Park on Friday morning.

Terry O'Conner told WDIV that he and his wife were strolling along Beaconsfield Ave. in Grosse Pointe Park with their dog, Burley, around 5:45 a.m. when they were suddenly approached by two Pitbull-type dogs....

The attack finally ended and O'Conner, his wife and his Labrador retriever escaped the ordeal -- they are expected to be OK.

O'Conner said he sustained cuts to his hand while fighting off the dogs, while his wife was bitten and Burley needed “a lot of stitches.”
Hey, I like dogs but do we really need to carry pepper spray now?
