ah, very cool, nice and diverse food styles, right in the hood. Marygrove [former] college/DPSD school further up the street.

Looks like a nicely renovated building. Looked shabby before on streetview.

In 1988 Tally Hall Food Hall was opened in Farmington Hills, MI. By 1990 it closed down. I hope this Watcha Wanna Eat in Six Mile Rd. in Detroit would last.

I thought this concept's time had run it's course. Chroma called off their food hall plans, Fort Street Gallery [[which was a beautiful space) shut down. Detroit Shipping Co was the last one hanging on.

I mean, "food hall" has always just been newspeak for "cafeteria", right?

I thought "food hall" meant "food court". Interestingly, the closed Dearborn Andiamo was supposed to be a food hall. Nothing has materialized there except a few times when a food truck was parked out there for a weekend.

Food halls are good for certain areas. Let's hope this one is a success. However, I hope there is plenty of security patrolling the place. Anything could jump off in the hood at anytime
