    when Dick Purtan was doing his show, were there studios in Southfield or did he have to commute or live in Windsor where the transmitter was?

    I would assume he would work from the Windsor studio. It was so quick and easy to cross the border back then. I never thought about that until now though. The CRTC was often in a battle with CKLW about the amount of Canadian content played and it even extended to the DJ's.
