Detroit's hot summer of '88...

Many vehicles driven by Detroiters including myself during that hot summer weren't equipped with air conditioners for they were much older 60s, 70s and early 80 model cars. Many sweated through sniffling heat blowing through cars windows while motorist either dressed for work or going out to clubs in the evening

The summer of '88 was followed by the summer of '92 where August temperature did not reach 70F. This was due to the Mount Pinatuba volcanco eruption in 1991, if I have this right.
