House of Nine opened in the Broderick Tower in 1944. They moved to the third floor of 35 W Grand River in 1954, then to the second floor of 22 W Grand River in 1970. They had 36 stores around the country at one point. Not sure if any of the others had similar signs. AIW took these photos about 15 years ago:
