Lions no NFL experience 23-year old rookie kicker signed today Riley Patterson:
The undrafted rookie out of Memphis struggled in his senior season, when he converted just 15 of 22 field-goal attempts and made 36 of 37 extra points in 11 games
This is the best they could sign/Wow? SOLs !!!
Place kicker of the day/week so far this year: Randy Bullock, Matthew Wright, Zane Gonzalez, Austin Seibert, Ryan Santoso, Riley Patterson, Aldrick Rosas.

we cut Matt Prater.
cut him. Fired. Removed him and every vestige of him ever being here.
The truth is that for some reason, a reason known but to God, our Lions have had a great kicking game going back 40 years.
not this year.
Since 1980 the Lions have had 3 kickers.
Eddie Murray
Jason Hanson
Matt Prater
Thats 40 years of HOF kickers.
hell, before those three we had the likes or Errol Mann and Gator Yupemian[[sp).
Actually it was worse then that. I vaguely remember when Wayne Walker was their kicker, every extra point was an adventure.
Same ole Lions!!! Great at losing games.
BROWNS 13
LIONS 10
Since goofy Goff is out. Our sub QB was too soft on plays. Since no running game, lack of blocking two many interception OH SIGH!
0-9-1
Ten down seven to go.
Sell the team Ford family. As Bobby Layne Curse continues.
Should the NFL end the traditional Lions Thanksgiving Day games? Or maybe just broadcast locally for the two teams?
That is a bit drastic & extreme. . . ...how about hooking-up a lie detector machine to the next HC & GM during the interview & asking them "real" situation & scenairo questions?
A mediocre Browns team in internal turmoil did everything they could to hand that game to the Lions, but the toothless wonders couldn't even manage to tie it up. Maybe, just maybe, they could possibly eke out a Thanksgiving win over a terrible Bears team that has lost 5 straight and will be starting an aging and rusty Andy Dalton?
Or, much more likely, maybe not.
No, but this makes sense to me:

The argument I made previously is that the Ford family should want the game pulled. It goes against the "any publicity is good publicity" thinking but the Ford brand is being associated nationally with such a loser that it might start robbing off on people subliminally. In other words, the Ford family should sell the team for the good of the company and ultimately their wallets.
Same ole Lions!!! Bad ole' putty tats!
BEARS 16
LIONS 14
Got mauled again by the Bad News Bears!
Took a lead by a point in the 4th quarter, but the bears offense broke the pussy cats' lousy defense scrimmage and Bears made a game winning field goal. Along with more injuries.
0-10-1
Eleven down six to go.
Sell the team now Ford Family
Now Campbell and the rest of the Lions team can go home and be thankful that you're football players.
The Bobby Layne Curse continues.
The comedy continues. Sell the team to another city and just be done with it.

Got mauled again by the Bad News Bears!
Worst ending of a football game ever! Take 3 knees for a field goal? At least try for a touchdown. two bad teams playing bad football.
Why bother with a touchdown, if the Bears goal was to prevent the Lions from getting the ball. Their 8 1/2 minute drive killed any chance for the Lions to win the game.
Campbell is clearly overmatched and needs to go at the end of the season. Matt Patricia looks like Bill Belichick compared to Campbell.
The Lions are already 10.5 point underdogs to the Vikings. I don't see them winning another game the rest of the season with the possible exception of the Falcons at home. 1-15-1 would still be one of the worst seasons of all time.
When you have a team that has been as inept as the Lions for so long why you would again hire someone with no NFL head coaching experience is mind boggling.
Why in God's name would any person with any sense spend one cent of money to go to a Lion's game? Unless you were a fan of the opposing club, of course.
Yes, that's the actual score. The year-long losing streak is over.
It's about ----- time! Those same ole Lions!
LIONS 29
VIKINGS 27

1-10-1

Forward down the field,
A charging team that will not yield.
And when the Blue and Silver wave,
Stand and cheer the brave.
Rah, Rah, Rah.
Go hard, win the game.
With honor you will keep your fame.
Down the field and gain,
A Lion victory!
GO LIONS!
