I'm pretty sure church income [=offerings collected] also are not taxed, no corporate taxes, and likely churches have a sales tax exemption on purchases and other such minor tax reliefs. There are likely variations of this by jurisdiction but that has been the general picture over time.

So obvious, but I missed that thought. Of course nothing like a church to launder cash. Amazing! We had 1,000 parishioners last Sunday. Don't know why that photo of the parking lot only showed 6 cars. My parishioners mostly walk.
