DetroitGasPrices.com is reporting $1.39 at Sunoco at 15201 Seven Mile Rd E & Hayes.

    For historical context, here's a 6-month graph.

For those of you more rural types in the outcounties that have tractors or other farm machines that use off-road [[dyed) diesel, I've heard that prices for bulk deliveries to on-farm tanks are under a buck a gallon. If you use it, check your suppliers for daily prices and determine if it's time to stock up.

Anybody that has a diesel powered generator or lawn mower would qualify too, but you'll have to haul it. They generally won't deliver less than 300 gallons.

Unlike corn gas, this stuff will store well, but you may have to add biocide to prevent algae growth.

First time hearing "corn gas". Some stations in SoFlo sell E85 [[85% ethanol 15% unleaded regular), same stuff? Thanks.

Lol I have not heard it called corn gas in years.

Ethanol gas separates in long term storage.

Wa Wa sells marine gas which has no ethanol.

I remember when it first came out, they blamed the chev Vega woes in it because of the highly corrosive nature.

Newer mowers and such are made to use it,older equipment it will screw up the carbs and rubber hoses etc.

I use the marine gas for lawnmowers etc because it does not break down like the ethanol does in storage.

Remember when it was 2007 and gas was like 4 dollars and going up?

That wasn't that long ago but it feels like a century ago now.

Still two and a half bucks in Nevada, thanks to the People's Republic of California, from whence all our petrol derives.

I just now heard a story that the supertanker business is booming because they're leased out to store excess crude oil. "There's no other place to put it."

Why can't it be left it underground — for free — with no risk of oil spills? Don't oil wells have an off switch?

We're retroactively remaking the fictional movie Idiocracy into a real life documentary.
