I went to yesterday's game. Sure it was exciting when they took the lead with 4 sec. left, but then ex-Piston Dinwiddie, who scored every time the Pistons made a run, hits the winner. I guess he found out it's a lot easier to play against the Pistons defense. It was just brutal how easily the Nets got to the basket with no resistance. And why do they not defend the 3 at all? Just assume they will miss every attempt and not even bother to get a hand in the face?

Why SVG had Ish Smith defending Dinwiddie at the end instead of Avery Bradley, who is our alleged defensive specialist, is beyond me. This team needs a starting PG terribly, but is it even worth trading assets to get that? Even if they did find someone, is it worth qualifying for the 6th seed at best? Ugh. I'm tired of being teased by these Pistons teams, only to have them fall to the 9 or 10 spot, ensuring they miss the playoffs and miss a real shot at a high lottery pick.

I'd be down for a Kemba Walker trade. I hear he is on the block. Only thing is, we'd have to probably take back one of Charlotte's bad contracts, [[Batum, Williams or MKG) He's small, but Kemba is a stud. Imagine him on the PnR with Drummond. Reggie Jackson is still out, and can't be traded while on IR. Throw in Stanley Johnson, and see what we come up with.

Appears the Bucks are not accepting mediocre, the just fired their head coach Jason Kidd after 3+ years & no surprise, they currently have a better record than our coach/team......

They should not accept mediocre, with Giannis on the team. Pistons don't have anyone even close to his talent and potential.

My question for Kemba is: let's say we pull the trigger and ship a few players, draft picks and take on a bad contract for Kemba. Where does that get us? I don't think the ceiling is high enough with Kemba to justify moving any of our younger guys/picks. We're stuck in a rut of mediocrity, and I feel like Kemba would just keep that going for longer. Then again, I'm not sure I want this team torn down from the ground up, so I don't know what the answer is haha

Oh, we have our SVG $25-million-dollar-per-season-man......just like the Bucks!

He comes with drama and baggage, no doubt about that. He’s also a proven winner and he puts asses in the seats and would immediately make the team revalant. If Mr. Gores could get him he would be crazy not to.

Pistons aren't a good team. No stars and mediocre overall talent.

Yeah, they had a great start to the season, but now they're just regressing to the mean.

Bucks management made the right call. Never saw Kidd as a good coach anyway. Milwaukee is young, long, and athletic, but they should be better than a .500 team. Bucks owner said defensively, is where they have regressed, were top 5 in defense last year.

You are correct, now that I think about it. Pistons are stuck in purgatory. MJ has now retracted, and says Walker won't be traded, unless it's for a superstar type player. We'll see at the TDL.

If he was just the coach I'm sure there's a good chance he'd be gone. I just don't see Gores, who put all his eggs in the SVG basket when he put him in charge of the entire organization, and who appears to really like the guy, firing him mid-season and finding a new president, gm and coach. If he decides to make a change it will be after the season when it's much easier to do a proper search.

Now they are putting Avery Bradley on the trade block.

Good. If they can move his expiring contract before the end of the season and at least get something instead of losing him for nothing or re-signing him for too much money, it's ok by me. Lots of people pointed to some advanced stats before the season about how Bradley actually wasn't that good of a defender, and that appears to be true. Plus, he takes some downright terrible shots. Tank!

Blake Griffin coming to Detroit, but he better pick another number. RIP's #32 is in the rafters.

Picking up Griffin's $170M+ contract tells me they intend to win now. I'm a little baffled by sending Harris, but that must have been the price to unload Bradley. I assume sending our top scorer means there is another trade in the works...

    Kemba Walker??

The way I see it.....another SVG weasel twist & turn, just like the rest of his inept player moves, except this will cost $171 Million:

Griffin's career has been marred by injuries. After being drafted with the first pick in the NBA draft in 2009 by the Clippers, Griffin broke his left kneecap, had surgery, and missed the entire 2009-10 season.
Since then he has missed time with back spasms, a torn left quad, a broken hand, a staph infection, right knee surgery, a broken toe, a sprained left MCL and a concussion. He missed 21 games in 2017 and 47 in 2016.

Time to get a health update regarding $Miggy & $VMart......

Have to agree. Desparate attempt to save his job.

This is the price to pay to bring a superstar to Detroit.

I like the move. Avery Bradley, as I mentioned above, was not having a good season, and they'd probably lose him anyway. Boban can score in limited minutes but is a statue on defense. I'll miss Tobias, but I think you have to go for these opportunities when they come around.

I also like the idea of Kennard getting more minutes as well.

Oh boy! Now we can have constantly injured Blake Griffin to go with constantly injured Reggie Jackson!

so when is this finalized, when does Griffin and the new lineup make their debut? what home game? I want to get a ticket.

    Probably Thursday's game.

I think this is a good move overall, although I will miss Tobias Harris. But the Pistons needed more intensity and power in the paint and Blake Griffin is just that. Losing Marcus Morris had left Andre all alone.

I'll miss Avery Bradley, a quality player and a great defensive player, but he was in the last year of his contract and likely gone anyway. His departure will give Luke Kennard more time to spread his wings. Everything about him looks like he is the genuine item.

The others that came, Willie Reed and Brice Johnson, have very short resumes. The former will likely fill Boban's shoes. Boban was fun, a bit like a circus act, but too slow for this game and the $7 million he was being paid. I'll miss his ears.
