This is nothing short of ridiculous that Alycia Meriweather isn't one of the finalists given that:
  • She's held the job for 1+ years already and I've yet to hear anyone say anything less than glowing about her.
  • She knows the district, its students, its parents, its teachers, its community and its politics.
  • She's a former DPS teacher and student who lives in the city. She's invested, not some academic gun for hire.
  • The students are far and away her #1 priority.
