    Default Detroit Street Maps

Where could I get a street map of Detroit from the 40's or early 50 s before all the expressways were built?

I did not see a key to explain markings on the maps that Hornwrecker scanned.
Does anyone know what the red dots represent on the maps. The crosses are self explanatory.
What about the red lines that are solid and seem to encircle an area? I thought the dashed lines might represent city limits?

    dots are SCHOOLS.
    Stars are CITY HALLS.
If I remember right, the solid red lines are BUS & STREETCAR ROUTES?
Dashed lines are CITY LIMITS, I think.

Sorry, but I could not open the page with the key, and this is my best guess.

The link for segment 7 in my original post wasn't working and I have since corrected it. Here it is again: http://grobbel.org/misc/7_Detroit_do...nd_Windsor.jpg
