Healthcare should be universal, regardless of what the constitution says. If you are objective it is backwards to not have this as a right at the federal level instead of punishing those seeking healthcare. Interesting you mention a compromise with the religious folks considering the First Amendment seems to make clear that from of and from religion is important.

"regardless of what the Constitution says"? Some of us regard the Constitution rather than your opinion, as the law of the land. You can however amend the Constitution to make regulating healthcare and abortions, not always the same, to be federally delegated powers. It's scary realizing there are people who think they have a right to ignore the Constitution when means are available to change it. Things like wokeness and Marxism are secular versions of or very much like religion substitutes. One meaning of 'religion' found in the Oxford dictionary is "a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance".

Also hard to feel too bad when the group you are saying is victimized holds control over the Supreme Court and is part of the litmus test for anyone who tries to run for office. When you are in power and controlling what women can do with their own bodies in many states I don't think your "group" is hurting that much. I thought it was conservatives that said freedom of speech is absolute and "f*ck your feelings"? Weird.

Talking about "what women can do with their own bodies", Democrats tried to expand registration for the Selective Service to include women . But men can shower in the women's locker room and women have no say about that according to the same folks who want to register women.
