Mildred Gaddis - Reggie Davis - !

Mildred Gaddis is close friends and a strong supporter of Freeman Hendrix. She obviously is trying to knock Reggie Reg to ensure Freemans spot on the commission.

I like Reg and he seems to be a pretty good guy. As a DJ he's reaches a lot of young people and raises issues that some otherwise may not be exposed to.

That being said, I really don't think anyone really views Reg as a threat [[real or imagined) to Freman. They are worlds apart in terms of their political abilities and overall attractiveness as a candidate.

Regardless if they are worlds apart, She has always backed Freeman, but only recently targeted Reggie, since he running for the same commission as Freeman. I have been at Seldom Blues, while her and Freeman were there. She was on the mic blowing his horn [[for a lack of better wording). Prior to this run for commission she hadn't lack an attack against Reggie to my knowledge, so all we can look to now is the difference before the run for commission.

There beef is just a contest between two piles of crap to see which one stinks the most. Both of them use, or in his case used, their positions as on air personalities to try to influence who to vote for. Hell, for the most part they were backing some of the same candidates. When it's all said and done, most of the people finding themselves in a position of power or influence aren't too different from Kwame.

That's why John Bennett lost so much support. It's ironic that a man that had been kicked off the force for voicing his opinion would turn around and do the exact same thing to Eric Brown who was a blogger on his site. Bennett exposed himself to be no different from Jerry Oliver.

Indeed, Bennett's treatment of Brown didn't help him. But I still contend his alliance with Gaddis hurt him more. People have seen that she shifts all over the place so much, her crediblity is shot with most. There will come a day when she is back "in" with the Kilpatrick clan. She will start the lovefest without any hesitation. Somewhat like her switch from beating MC up to "Good Morning Council President". One could almost see the big smile on her face. Go away Mildred. You have told us all about all those other cities you lived and worked in, now it is time to find another.

1. Mildred Gaddis has never been "in" with the Kilpatrick clan.

2. Mildred Gaddis has never supported Monica Conyers. She just supported an issue that Monica Conyers was supporting and placated her as long as she was championing that issue.

3. Reggie Reg is no threat to Freman and there are 9 positions to fill for charter commission.

4. On air personalities are supposed to know they cannot hold their jobs and campaign for elected office as well. Reggie Reg isn't the first candidate in history who had to make such a choice.

5. Depending on how you "quit", any business might want you to be escorted by security when you pick up your stuff.

6. Mildred is guilty of hypocrisy on occasion.

Mildred was a main criticizer of Monica Conyers. She had even played audio clippings of Conyer's tyrades. She even played the clipping where a 13yr old girl had challenged Monica's behavior during the council meetings. All of a sudden Mildred is not criticizing Monica but had her on the show. Not asking her the tough questions. Taking up for Conyer's misconduct on taking bribes. When she is against you, you will never be asked to come on her show even to explain your side of things. She is not the queen of anything. She doesn't know detroit's history. She has the freedom of the mic. Kathy Hughes should have talk show host in the lineup who opposes Mildred's views. Have someone who is more conservative in his/her's thinking. Angelo is good but he just doesn't cut it. I think Mildred tells him what to discuss on his show.

True, it would seem that anything she does is political. I can recall the time when she was going after Steve Wilson. After the Kilpatrick deal he was the best thing since sliced bread.

Oh yeah she called Steve Wilson a racist or rather implied he was. She use people to farther her career including her listener..........Side note Do anyone remember when she moved out of detroit and someone called her on it, her reason for moving was " Some officers came to me and told me I was in danger living in Detroit cause I made enemies of the Mayor and his people." The problem with this statement was that she said stuff like how she love detroit and living here, and people shouldn't pack up and go. Thats like telling your soldiers to "CHARGE IN ,THE THE DAY IS WON" While you already fleed 5 minutes ago cause you saw you where out numbered 10 to 1. That make her a poor leader to follow.
