    I have a hard time believing this is a serious question, in the sense of a question deserving serious thought. It's obvious that the role of a church is not to create a cultural anachronism within a changing social system and then forcing the congregants to remain in the neighborhood. Nostalgia might see the logic of such a world but decisions are made independently of that influence at the time. Churches are meant to serve the spiritual needs of its followers and show love to the suffering.
