On top of being a complete lie, I find the quote rather condescending. They're not bringing anything new to Detroit or Michigan.

They have updated their Facebook page. I am excited to try this place once it opens. Still am unsure if the last post on their site means the opening will be in September, or still in August as indicated by the earlier post.

Calexico restaurant is now open. Went on Friday, and it is a sit-down with wait staff setup. They are still working out the kinks, but the food was good. Would go back again, and glad to see another addition to the downtown scene.
