If there's any upside to the recent wars the U.S has been involved in, it's people like Chris Mintz that have the courage, training and experience to be proactive and not just run the other way when things like this happen. Chris Mintz and his life saving actions is what we should be hearing about when this tragedy is discussed, not the name or life story of the lowlife scumbag that murdered all of these innocent people!

It's time for gun control in America. We're Americans are killing each other like Romans! It's seems that we can solve our problems by killing our love ones, friends and even Christians. There still gun totting yahoos in the so-called free nation that is hard to keep track. We put laws to limit gun control. But getting a gun is easy to acquire in the black market.

We Americans-I mean [[Romans) are living in fear that freedom is no longer to real thing, it's a concept. Security is what we need now. It's time put up fences and walls to protect our homes from yahoos. It's time to buy a AK-47 shoot anyone who is terrorist. Thanks to the second Amendment we free to kill to protect our lives and families. There's nothing the President of the United States and U.S. Congress can do to stop us.

Keep on buying guns, Romans. Go on and kill, kill kill!!!! Your freedom is gone. You all need security.

4 students arrested in Tuolumne County [California] school shooting plot
“They were going to come on campus and shoot and kill as many people as possible at the campus,” Tuolumne County Sheriff Jim Mele said....

“The suspects’ plans was very detailed in nature, and included names of would-be victims, locations, methods in which the plan was to be carried out,” Mele said.

Mele said the students confessed to planning the mass shooting.
It's hard to believe this isn't a trend. It's hard to believe there isn't a reason for the trend. It's not too hard to believe that the reason is known but not reported.

It's hard to tell which side of the issue you are endorsing?

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Regulation is built right into the Second Amendment, BEFORE the the caveat against infringement. Well-regulated militia actually infers a community right, not an individual right.

Therefore I propose that gun ownership be connected to community service, with required community training on gun safety in the home and community. Community service must be completed annually or your gun license is void. Community safety training must be recertified biannually or your license is revoked.

Fortunately the United Stated Supreme Court [[not gazhekwe) has the last say on interpreting the Constitution.

    1) Make all gun owners FULLY legally culpable for any crime/action committed with their firearm should a juvenile obtain it. You want to keep your guns unlocked and unsecured in a home with kids in it? Fine, you go to prison if that kids shoots themselves or someone else with it.

Where did Adam Lanza get his guns? At home. Where did that 11-year old boy in Tennessee who murdered the 8-year old girl get the shotgun from? The home. Where did these kids in California who planned on shooting up their school plan on getting their guns from? Most likely from the home. Start putting gun owners in prison for a long, long time if their choice to be irresponsible results in tragic consequences.

    2) Allow the ATF to do its job. Republicans have passed numerous laws over the years [[at the behest of the NRA) designed to neuter and de-fang the ATF and prevent it from doing its job. Which of course, makes it easier for the GOP and the NRA to then point at the ATF when they screw up and say "look how incompetent and useless they are!" Every system gets the results it was designed to get and the GOP has engineered the ATF to fail at regulating guns.

-ATF is currently banned from using trace data from crime guns to revoke FFLs [[the federal license that allows you to sell guns). >50% of all crime guns are traced back to less than 1% of gun dealers. Give the ATF the power to SHUT DOWN bad apple gun dealers who are knowingly and deliberately serving as suppliers to criminals. It's not some magical coincidence when dozens of crime guns in NYC get traced back to a single gun store in Virginia.
-Over 25,000 guns go "missing" from gun supplier inventories every year. It is believed that nearly all of these weapons are either stolen or sold illegally. However, due to law, the ATF cannot do random inspections or multiple inspections of gun store inventories per year. And gun dealers can essentially not keep track of their deadly inventories with little to no legal consequence.

    3) Universal background checks on all sales, including private sales. It doesn't infringe on what kinds of guns you can own, how many guns you can own, or what you can do with those guns. It's a loophole, close it.

    4) Increase resources and funding towards investigating and prosecuting straw purchasers and those who lie on gun purchase forms. This one is pretty self-explanatory.
