How do you equate "deliberately spreading lies, misinformation, and propaganda" with "free speech"?Why are so many people terrified of President Obama?
Sure, the source is from a pro life site, but the point they are making is real. The statement noted by this article is real, was really on the White House website [[not sure if it's still there), and is a scary attack on free speech.
Free speech is something that is supposed to be held as a high priority to those with liberal beliefs! What is going on here??
Somewhere in rocky mountians in some deep cover pine forests. There are some racist Klan militants planning their " Helter Skelter Mansonesque race war". Along with their plan is some Imperial Wizzard speaking his racist hatred against all Blacks, Jews, Catholics, Homosexuals, Asians and white trash; saying " Barrack Obama doesn't care about white people! He wants to get rid of our pure white brotherhood. Don't let your pur white children surrender to this black socialist N----r providing to build his communist society in United States. We must save America [[ White America) from those fools. Who's with me?"
Then all the racist White Americans cheered, big and small holding up their semi-automatic riffles, genades and homemade bombs cheering YEAH! Let's do this. KILL THEM ALL!
WORD FROM THE STREET PROPHET
You all might not read the Turner Diaries because we are living in one.
The United States had been spreading these media messages for 233 years. LIES,
misinformation, and propaganda what makes America great, strong against all global authorities. It's the final solution to secure national security and inclose FEAR into the hearts of the American People. "These words" is either going to save or destroy America so everyone get used to it, deal with it and enjoy the ride.
WORD FROM THE STREET PROPHET
If you don't want the TRUTH exchange it for a LIE and call it TRUTH.
If you don't want the LIE exchange it for a TRUTH and call it a LIE.

Well, partly, but no, it's where if you ask any man in confidence that has to work with said woman, he'll tell you the truth. Again, only in confidence. More suppression of free speech.
In my vocation it happens often that I have to meet with engineers of other companies. When they say "You are to meet with Miss/Mrs" etc. I know from that point forward how the day is going to go. I'm getting ready to enter in to a world where perpetual motion is the norm, water runs up hill, and measurements are spoken in feet and "about this much".
yeesh..

Papsito, no one is trying to shut them up, just to understand their messages and develop response to them. Who knows, maybe even LISTEN to them.

The writers/distributors of this informatin/misinformation [[depending on your side of the arguement) WANT it to be read--that's why they put it out there. Why are so many people terrified of President Obama?

Explain, please.

Did you just call me an Amphibious Hovercraft?

Women can do anything they choose to, just as a man can. Having children, or not, is a choice they make.
Yeah, yeah, yeah…the strongest woman can’t bench press as much as the strongest man…women are emotional and men are logical…etc.
Go tell it to Golda Meier, Becca Swanson, Frederick Winslow Taylor, W. Edwards Deming and Aung San Suu Kyi.
The bigger problem regarding limiting an employer's right to pay employees the lowest wages they can be hired for happened when the Equal Pay Act was passed in 1963. That piece of work forced employers to pay men and women, blacks and whites the same money for working next to one another performing the same work. It unfairly restricted the freedom and liberty of employers to respond purely to the market!
Now union contracts had forced employers to do that for a long time, but in 1963 the federal government, once again, interfered with employers making market-based decisions. If in response to market forces employers could hire women who were willing to work for less than men and hire blacks were willing to work for less than whites why mess with success? Don’t talk about fairness, compassion, or justice…the market doesn’t take those into consideration.
You know, after a little thought, maybe the problem didn’t start back in 1963. Maybe it started when the federal government started to regulate child labor. If in response to market forces, an employer could hire a kid for a quarter of what an adult costs, why did the government have to interfere? Low wages kept prices low. Low prices make things available to more and more consumers. You know the WalMart “Save Money; Live Better” thing.
"The strongest man versus the strongest women"...maybe [[although you would be shocked, especially with performance enhancing drugs). For 99.9999% of everything else, it is ambition, drive, talent, and work ethic that make the difference and men and women are on a level playing field.
Well, I can't believe my eyes! I agree with you, CC. Thanks for those thoughts.
I knew you had some individualism in there somewhere.
Well, with that condescending reaction, now I am afraid I must be mistaking the point I thought you were making.
Ah, Gazhekwe, never mind alla that, and pop on over to my Paging thread. I just stopped in, there.
Oops! Ravine has thread-jacked!
Our society has always flourished because of the freedom to provide opposition.
To offer a different opinion. To speak out for freedom. To not fall lock step into what Washington wants to force down our throats.
Our country was doing just fine until our leaders sold us out. both Democrat and Republican.
Defending corrupt politicians and swallowing the crap they spoonfeed us will continue to poison our minds and deteriorate our nation.
Not condescending at all...recognizing something in your character that perhaps even you did not Gaz...you are welcome.
Better watch the personal attacks you are insinuating at Lorax.
Don't hurt Cc's feelings, he's sensitive.
Coincident with the definitive position of this forum as clearly spelled out in the rules...the administrators will not tolerate personal attacks, neither will I.
