I have a dog in this fight.
After 3000 hours of military and private technology training, I never made more than $15 /hour. Although plenty of overtime to the tune of $700 /week take home. I made the machines that made the cars. From scratch.
If you do the the math - that two tier system equals the $5 a day that was offered back then. 100 years with no gain.I would hope for more, but no luck.,
Back then they had factory and home health care.
I'm sick of the Repubs complaining about those marginal gains over a hundred years. At least their CEO's pay is up %400 in that time. The Hamptons are nice this year. Ass hats.

Myself, I am performing a good 40% more work than I was just 2 years ago.

    Yet, making the same $19.28/hr.

A problem we face as a society is that we do not have a system where we respect others. Labor is not respected by business. And as in this post, business is not respect by labor.

Sure, its often because of the way the other behaves. Regardless, we'd all be better if we could respect the challenges facing the other.

A couple percent is huge -- both to your personal life when its paid to you -- and to a company as it battles competition to keep making money for the retirees and other investors.
