Wes, what I find disturbing is the fact that a school snoops in a student's bedroom. If the school wants to send out good Christian soldiers out into the world; fine. I wouldn't want an Ayatollah breathing over my pillow while I make out with whomever I please.

And he was defending the constitution in the SSM cases, as amended by the voters of the state.

Again, if AGs start picking and choosing which portions of the Constitution to defend, you might end up with some results you really won't like. I don't think such picking and choosing is appropriate by an AG of either party.
The obama administration has repeatedly stated its policy as one of non interference in the regulated distribution of marijuana medicinal or otherwise. The enforcement efforts are to be focused in limited areas of enforcement rather than spending time targeting individual users. some of those areas are; preventing distribution of marijuana to minors, stopping the growing of marijuana on public land, keeping pot from falling into the hands of cartels and gangs, and preventing the diversion of marijuana to states where it remains illegal. Schutte has ignored that policy [[because he doesn't' like it) and decided to stand in for the feds and seek to eradicate MM usage or make it so unduly burdensome on the user to effectively ban its use.... you don't put the guy who led the effort to stop the referendum in charge of it's implementation. even a first year law student can smell the bias there.

I'm fine with him hiding behind the "we must defend the laws". I'll forgive him the silliness of defending laws that are unconstitutional on their face...as SSM was. If anything his office's disaster of a trial at the district made a very favorable record going forward. However, he's turned and done opposite with the MM laws. Welp...it's illegal under federal law, so my hands are tied folks! [[ignore all that libtarded socialist anti american policy stuff from NOBAMA that explicitly UNTIES my hands). I still need to take your kids away because you're using medication the voters demanded be legal here. I get to say what the voters really should get and which of those laws put in place by the voters are entitled to a vigorous defense.

No one is compelling anyone to go to said school. If you want to be schooled by adherents to ultra conservative religious beliefs , you need to accept the rules that come with addmittance.

Yes, I figured that much, but the bar associations also have rules about admissions and school policies. Individual students go out into the world and practice Law, they are in an interpretive domain, their opinions and expertise will be examined in due time. The institutions granting education need to have a clear set of rules according to their collective mandate.

The problem is that the state or provincial bars also have rules to allow the lesser of damaging discriminatory measures by the teaching institutions on a societal level. It is still a compromise.

If they were truly Christian they would not snoop at all [[I can give you four verses in the New Testament alone condemning busybody-ing). Harsh as the laws in the Pentateuch [[the Israelites truly were surrounded by nations of filthy children-raping/torturing/sacrificing bestial sickf*cks in those days. God may've felt there would've been no peaceful way for them in those primal times to survive among such elements with their identities intact. I only make this digression to answer this "angry God of the O.T./genocidal Israel" argument the new-Atheists like to bring up. God doesn't change, but God will change his dealings with people-especially when covenants get broken.) were, there is one listing that states that a single man is only "obligated" to marry an unwed maiden he has slept with-that is, unless the dad buys him off. So, how much "sin" is one living in by living unwed to a woman you've been with for over three years?

I was always more disturbed by racist and segregated places like Bob Jones University [[Lahaye's Alma Mata that he defends in the difficult to find "Coming peace in The Middle East"-the one that the Coen Bros. were wise enough to slyly refer to in "Ladykillers") that defied inter-racial relationships. They had to fight up to the Supreme Court [[luckily with little success) on a number of issues. Yeah, they didn't like having secular things in dorm rooms [[like National Geographic), but you were merely required to only "check your gun" in at every front door.
