Now that the text of the Trans-Pacific Partnership has finally been released, it is even worse than I thought. It is clear to me that the proposed agreement is not, nor has it ever been, the gold standard of trade agreements.
"This trade deal would make it easier for corporations to shut down more factories in the U.S. and ship more jobs to Vietnam and Malaysia where workers are paid pennies an hour. The TPP is a continuation of our disastrous trade policies that have devastated manufacturing cities and towns all over this country from Newton, Iowa, to Cleveland, Ohio. We need to rebuild the disappearing middle class, not tear it down.

"The TPP would allow foreign corporations to sue federal, state and local governments in an international tribunal for passing an increase in the minimum wage or any other law that could hurt expected future profits.

    ........
"I will do everything I can to defeat the TPP. We need trade policies in this country that work for the working families of our nation and not just the CEOs of large, multi-national corporations.”
Thanks for fighting for us Bernie. That part about the minimum wage is scary. WTF?

Default Bernie promises to violate Constitution and sell out US workers-

Regarding illegal immigration: "Beginning in the first 100 days of my administration, I will work to take extensive executive action to accomplish what Congress has failed to do and to build upon President Obama’s executive orders,” - Bernie Sanders

DetroitYES Home » Non Detroit Issues » Thom Hartmann » Poll: Bernie Beats Trump, but the Media Won't tell you!

    • In new shock poll, Sanders has landslides over both Trump and Bush
In a new McClatchy-Marist poll, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders [[I-Vt.) leads Republican candidate Donald Trump by a landslide margin of 12 percentage points, 53 to 41. In the McClatchy poll, Sanders also leads former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush [[R) by a landslide margin of 10 points, 51 to 41....

It is a fallacy argued by conservatives and, in my view, inaccurately parroted by the mainstream media, that Sanders and other liberals take positions that are far too "left." The polling shows, issue by issue, and increasingly in general election match-ups of Republicans running against Sanders, that it is the left, not the right, which has the upper hand with American voters.

Default TYT: Bernie Sanders Delivers Epic Speech On Democratic Socialism

Bernie Sanders delivered his long-awaited speech advocating for democratic socialism in America. He pointed to the example of FDR’s New Deal which was part of a massive social movement to secure rights for workers against the corporate/owner class. Ana Kasparian [[The Point), John Iadarola [[Think Tank), and Jimmy Dore [[The Jimmy Dore Show Podcast), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down....

"In a speech at Georgetown University on Thursday afternoon, Sen. Bernie Sanders, the independent from Vermont who's seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, did something unprecedented for a major candidate: He made the case for democratic socialism.

The address, which Sanders wrote himself, had been in the works for weeks, and in it Sanders embraced a label that has most often been used to attack him. [[At the first Democratic presidential debate last month, front-runner Hillary Clinton distanced herself from Sanders' "democratic socialist" views.) At times, this address sounded much like Sanders' stump speech: He railed against Wall Street, the "ruling class," and the billionaire Koch brothers. But he tied those stances to an ideology that he contended was an essential part of the United States' heritage.”*

In blockbuster poll, Sanders destroys Trump by 13 points
It is high time and long overdue for television networks such as CNN to end their obsession with Trump and report the all-important fact that in most polls, both Hillary Clinton and Sanders would defeat Trump by landslide margins. In the new Quinnipiac poll, Clinton would defeat Trump by 7 percentage points, which is itself impressive and would qualify as a landslide, while the Sanders lead of 13 points would bring a landslide of epic proportions.

Bernie Sanders Accused of Using Campaign Money to Benefit Family

Oh, no. Grandpa Sanders, Democratic paragon of virtue, has been smeared for having his hands in the cookie jar. Still, these accusations fall far short of the corruption, the flies buzzing around, the Wicked Witch of the West's money laundering Clinton Foundation. Bernie is still my preferred Democrat.

    "Feel the Bern"
