Looks like Sanders had some serious crowd 'management' issues in Seattle!

New poll shows Sanders leading Clinton in NH:

    http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/12/politi...new-hampshire/

Sanders topped Clinton with 44% compared to her 37% support among likely Democratic primary voters

    Sen. Sanders' consistency
Rachel Maddow traced the political history of Bernie Sanders, from small city mayor of Burlington to congressman and senator, all while staying consistent on a core set of issues.

Wow, he really is receiving the silent treatment. I clicked on an AP story about him and the photo in the article was of Hillary at a podium speaking. In all fairness he was mentioned in the article.

I saw him on C-Span twice recently. He was on Meet the Press after the Iowa State Fair and the host admitted Bernie had the biggest crowds. Maybe it's just the newspapers that are lagging. I saw the Free Press had a poll on the front page of Hillary vs. Trump or Bush instead of her vs. Bernie.

I saw my first Bernie sticker on a car yesterday and it had South Carolina plates. Interesting.

Speaking of stickers, the Bernie store has a lot of new products:

Every item in our store will always be made and printed by union workers right here in the United States.

Funny one Pam since I posted a shot of a car with Michigan plates on my street with a Bernie sticker on June 6, and I live in Canada. I've seen a few since then on NY and Vt plates.

Bernie has car magnets now, getting a couple for my ride. It's early yet, but I want to make sure he at least gets in on the nomination. With the way the media and the DNC are acting, if it weren't for social media, no one would be thinking of him. Wow, is he working social media!

Thanks, but I think the Des Moines Register deserves most of that credit. That can't be easy to do under those circumstances but they did a great job. I doubt any other candidate will ever get that amount of quality exposure to viewers.

I will take credit for snagging that screenshot though. Bernie seems to care more about the people present than about what the cameras see. So it's a real challenge to capture a smile and a hand gesture while he happens to look near the lens.

What really matters is how much the nation will have improved after his terms. For now, we can only imagine.

Default America Feels The Bern: Bernie Sanders Now Front-Runner

Some say we shouldn’t take Bernie Sanders seriously. The problem with that is: Bernie Sanders is the frontrunner as it stands today. Cenk Uygur, host of the The Young Turks, breaks it down....

"Sen. Bernie Sanders [[I-Vt.) said on Thursday that he was "stunned" to see recent polls that showed him gaining ground on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in key primary states.

A Quinnipiac poll released on Thursday showed that Sanders and Clinton in a virtual tie in Iowa after Sanders had trailed her by 19 percentage points in early July. A recent poll also showed Sanders leading Clinton by 7 percentage points in New Hampshire.

"You want me to tell you the truth?...Yes, I'm stunned," Sanders told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Thursday. Look, we have a message that I believed from day one was going to resonate with the American people. ... Did I think [[the issues) would resonate as quickly as they have? The answer is no.””

I hope the Lessig campaign gets at least a little traction. Getting him in the debates would be nice.

Bernie Sanders backs at least $18 trillion in new spending over a decade, according to a tally by The Wall Street Journal to implement all of Bernie's proposals and his tax increase proposals would cover about one third of that amount. In Bernie's defense, at least some of those costs would eventually be recouped, have to be expended anyway, or would replace what we now pay into health insurance premiums. Also, of course, he has more integrity then Mrs. Clinton. All the same, where is all the money going to come from so we don't wind up something like Venezuela?

Default Why Bernie Sanders's rise is more impressive than Donald Trump's

Where Trump has never held elected office, Sanders is one of the longest-serving members of Congress; where Trump calls himself a Republican but seems to loathe his party, Sanders calls himself an independent socialist but acts like a loyal Democrat; where Trump delights in attacking his fellow candidates, Sanders refuses to go negative; where Trump heightens the contrasts between him and his critics, Sanders has been unveiling new policies to quell doubts from Black Lives Matter activists; where Trump is limiting the Republican Party's ability to reach beyond its base and win minority voters, Sanders is trying to expand the Democratic Party's base among the white working class and evangelicals; where Trump is a billionaire attempting to take over American politics, Sanders is a congressman of unusually modest means trying to stop billionaires from taking over American politics.

No matter what happens, that graph alone carries a very potent warning to the establishment. This will become very interesting, if only for the aftermath.

Big money has Uncle Joe warming up in the bullpen in case Hillary can't get up to speed. The last thing Wall Street want is Comrade Sanders.

The unknown here is that since even big money interests know that Joe couldn't pull it off, they are somewhat backing him. My guess is it's worth it to them to schlep some cash his way to divide a Hillary/Bernie confrontation that seems to be beginning to take place.

Low number of debates before the primary. More pieces to the pie even if they're not all going to be there come primary time takes away some of the steam Sanders is building. Joe is a likable guy, but he won't become president.

My guess is that the same big money that's trying to push him forward, would spend as much or more to ruin him if for some reason he actually became a frontrunner. I don't believe that's their actual agenda.

I hope people are actually taking the time to listen to what Bernie is saying. It's important and it makes sense. Like it or not, it's about the only viable path we can go down and keep the country from becoming so divided by poverty and inequality that we enter into a period of distrust towards the government that we rely on.

We are at a critical point regarding the near and long term future of this country. I certainly hope this election doesn't become a reality show. There's a lot at stake and very few candidates that seem to care that the needs of the people are more important than the advancement of their own political careers.

I honestly believe that Bernie Sanders actually cares more about the country and its ability to prosper than he cares about advancing his career for personal gain. I like this guy.

I would assume this is why there are going to be so few debates. Bernie is willing to discuss just about any topic. Others, not so much.

I wonder if Biden is syphoning more votes from Hillary or Sanders and if just syphoning votes to make it a three way race will sink Sanders.

"Clinton, once the prohibitive front-runner, is now the top choice of 33 percent of registered Democrats and those who lean Democrat, the poll shows. Biden places second with 25 percent and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is at 24 percent.""Clinton is better liked by women than men—74 percent to 64 percent—while Biden's favorability is closer to gender-neutral, with 81 percent for women and 79 percent for men. The survey also found those who are married or have children
under the age of 18 were more likely to give Biden favorable ratings than Clinton."

Default Bernie Sanders DESTROYS Fox News LOADED QUESTIONS

I liked the spontaneity of this one:

Bernie Sanders puts Fox in its place by slapping the reporters of Fox with the back of his P.I.M.P. hand in the face!!!

Before the internet that would have been very inefficient to hold a spontaneous interview in a small space with few people present but today things can go viral.
