The vehicular chase-down seems to be the gangster's method of choice. You'd think such a method might maximize the number of witnesses [[Detroit may not have a lot of pedestrians but there are a lot of people driving) and create a lot of evidence [[which still has to be found, but still, if anyone can get a license plate, you'd think it would be game over).
