The National Association of Black Journalists, Region IVchapter, will have its annual conference on October 10-12, 2014. Region IVcomprises members in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota,Nebraska, Ohio, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

This year's theme is “Renew, Refresh Reunite: Reboot to take your career tothe next level!”

Workshop Topics to take place include: multimedia, social media: the newdeadline is now; covering the auto beat; making it to management; landing thatfirst gig; and working across platforms.

In addition to the workshops, NABJ members are providing student and youngprofessional journalist critiques of resumes, reels and clips as well asan authors showcase.

The conference kicks off with a tour of downtown Detroit development and anopening reception at the Detroit historical Museum's Old Streets of Detroit.
