It will feel good when it quits hurting.
They pack a wallop the giant hornets do.

^ Gosh that thing looks like it could spit-polish a junk yard engine valve cover!
Just drop it under the hood overnight!

Hello, Mr. Hornet. Meet Mr. Size 11.5 shoe.
"As we told you ... sightings of Asian "murder" hornets are spiking in Washington, but reports from everyday citizens are mostly false.
Coyote says it's important to remember only a single hornet has actually been found in the United States, and it's dead. CP says entomologists are working to find a potential colony, and if they do, the hornets will be eradicated before they can wreak havoc on humans and bees."

First 'murder hornet' nest found in US successfully removed
They tied the tracking devices on with dental floss and emptied the nest with a vacuum cleaner. How'd you like to have that job?
Didn't they knock the hornets out or at least sedate them first?

I haven't heard. They use smoke on normal bees to pacify them. Maybe they did that. They use vacuums on normal bees too. They say these hornets can sting through a beekeeper's suit.
There's a photo of the transmitter being tied to a hornet here:

It looks like they're using an inflated or padded suit here:

Won't the killer Michigan winter off them if nothing else does? LOL!
Well, Danny started this thread with a local report. Granted, that alone doesn't mean it's a local problem yet.
Here's an update from Washington State:
Those suits would make great Halloween costumes. They look like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Two 'murder hornet' queens captured days after first nest destroyed in US
I think the biggest concern is how they might affect bee populations. They're already stressed and there's a heck of a lot of agriculture dependent on bees.
... actually that was 6 years ago...
I think this is in South Korea. The captions don't help at all.
Clever that they flag the wasp taking the bait to get a heading on the nest.
He needs a vacuum or at least a larger net.
ERADICATION MURDER HORNET NEST, ASIAN GIANT HORNET NEST REMOVAL, WASP NEST REMOVAL, VESPA MANDARINA
I wouldn't want that guy's job. That suit has to be hot!
